Aloochaat is perfect for a cold day as it is nice and spicy, but it is a wonderful choice for All Seasons, as well as it has no oil and is relatively light. In short, it is an anytime, anywhere snack. Ingredients :
  • Potatoes(boil)                                                          4
  • Urad dal(soak & crush)                                            250 grams
  • Tamarind(Imli) Chutney                                           2 tablespoons
  • Green Chutney                                                       1 tablespoon
  • Cumin(Jeera) Powder                                             1/2 tablespoon
  • Chaat Masala                                                         1/2 tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Powder                                                   1/2 tablespoon
  • Coriander (chopped)                                              1 tablespoon
  • Ginger (chopped)                                                   1 tablespoon
  • Green Chilli (chopped)                                            1 tablespoon
  • Beetroot (chooped)                                                 1 tablespoon
  • Onion (chooped)                                                     1 tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice                                                            1 tablespoon
  • Sugar                                                                       1/2 tablespoon
  • Yogurt                                                                       2 tablespoons
  • Jini Sev                                                                     1 tablespoon
  • Salt                                                                            to taste
  • Oil                                                                              to shallow fry
Method :
Take boil potatoes and grate put them in to the bowl add salt, chopped green chilies, lemon juice, ginger paste, sugar, and mix it.

Take another bowl, take soak and crush urad dal add salt, knead the grated potatoes apply oil in hand take a portion of mashed potatoes shape into a tikki  and put in the urad dal stuffing.

These tikkis should be thick and round. Heat oil in kadai place the tikkis  on it and fry till the golden.
Serve :  Take a tikki on a plate put some yogurt, red chilli powder, chaat masala, tamarind chutney, green chutney, chopped onion, beetroot, jini sev and coriander serve immediately.
